The Refrigerator and Air Conditioner ( RAC) Repair training course prepares students for careers in the RAC industry.
This course covers the principles of installation, operation, and maintenance for refrigerators and air conditioners, in which the student will have, at the end of the course, the knowledge for suitable installation, the actions for proper refrigeration/heating performance, and how to test the main components for maintenance.
- Formal training for practical experience and theoretical knowledge.
- Duration: 2 Weeks
- Phase 1: Group and physical classroom practical training with LIVE equipment
- Phase 2: 1-3 Months Industrial Attachment (for interested participants) after the 2-week training.
- Trainees are expected to equip themselves with the essential personal protective equipment, like protective hat, coverall jacket, boot shoes, safety goggles, etc.
- A recognized certificate of competency is awarded to participants at the end of the program.
The training also emphasizes a practical, hands-on application, which is necessary for successful employment and job creation.
This course covers the ability to select components, install, set up, test, fault find, repair, and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
Graduates from this course receive a certificate as an air conditioning and refrigeration technician recognized by potential employers in the industry.
